The history of the SNCF (French National Railway Company) began on January 1, 1938,
this one practically joins with the history of the railways in France, since the SNCF takes over the concession of almost all the French railway network. The SNCF promotes towns, localities, seaside resorts, ski resorts by calling on the leading poster artists of their time: Paul Colin, Jean Colin, Roger Bezombes, Bernard Villemot, Roland Hugon, Albert Brenet, Jal, Planson, Foujita, Decoux, Linoux, Dali, Savignac, Dignimont, Bernard Buffet and many others.
